Re: At the Cage
[ QUOTE ]
What's the difference at a casino cage? [/ QUOTE ] Casinos have a tipping culture, banks do not. Also casino cages are not banks. TT [img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] |

Re: At the Cage
When I leave the table, I usually tip off the few odd bucks, so that my win amount is a multiple of 5 or 10. So I often have $1 to $4 left over; I usually tip the dealers 1 each (I usually play a small cardroom, they're both right there), and 1 or 2 to the cage. If I only have $1 or $2 left, I tip the cage with it, since I've already tipped the dealers during the session.
Not to go off topic, but I recently experimented with tipping each dealer at the end of their down, regardless of how I did. Didn't work out too well, because I would sometimes forget at the dealer change. I guess it would be ok once it became an ingrained habit. |

Re: At the Cage
My wife worked the Taj poker cage a few times and she was told not to expect gratuities. She said she was rarely tipped.

Re: At the Cage
Tipping is a gesture of generosity, not of necessity. If I have an extra chip/$ or if I have a particularly big winning session I will tip the cage person. They smile and thank you, you feel good, that's all.
