Re: MyTurn\'s week 3 CFB (9/14-9/16)
[ QUOTE ]
Let me also add that CU has scored 20 points this season. Two consecutive 10 point offensive efforts. Montana State was just beat.. Some other lowlights of CU offensive production: No TD passes. Two field goals out of 4 attempts from a supposedly top kicker, though 2 attempts were 50+ yards. 181 yards for each of rushing and receiving for a total offensive production of 362 yards ... [/ QUOTE ] I like ASU a little here, but this is not really analysis, just a recap. It's priced in. Tell us why this will continue. |

Re: MyTurn\'s week 3 CFB (9/14-9/16)
CU has no passing game. That is why they will continue to struggle offensively. ASU will stack the box and stop the run. That is essentially what CSU and Montana State did.
They converted their best receiver/running back (Bernard Jackson) back to a QB because they have such poor QB's. Here he is getting blown up last week. http://sports.espn.go.com/ncf/teamph...&teamId=38 Their third string QB just quit on the team, not that he matters that much. |

Re: Syracuse and Illinois
[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Are people really that sold on Syracuse? I just don't see them taking that loss last week lightly. Granted, Illinois is horrid, but I'm staying away from that game. [/ QUOTE ] if there was a word that was more horrid than horrid, illinois would be that. they are miserable--they don't have a punter, their defense is non-existent, and their quarterback situation is foul as brasic has terrible pocket presence and doesn't seem to understand the concept of intentional grounding. juice williams and their running game are their only highlights, but their offensive line doesn't give them enough time to do well on the ground. blech. [/ QUOTE ] highlight of ESPNU's Tuesday coaches' conference calls show so far is the analysts just railing on Bobby Petrino for running up the score verse Temple and one asking, "Who can't run up the score on Louisville?" The first two responses from the host were: Illinois & Syracuse hahahahahhahahaha Orange toilet bowl this weekened |

Re: Syracuse and Illinois
Mississippi State does have a pretty solid D when its offense stays on the field long enough to give it some breaks.
I haven't seen Tulane at all, so I am staying away. |

Re: Syracuse and Illinois
adding a bunch of picks (Mainly team totals that add in to previous games, but a few new ones)
Florida Atlantic (U 7.5) @ Okie State for Game see my FAU-Okie State write-up above. Basically, FAU is the most incompetent team I have seen in a long time. They have scored 6 points in their first two games. They average 1.2 ypc and have no passing game either. Sure, a lucky play can put them over, but that is it. Arizona State (O 31.5) @ Colorado for Game Rice (U 12.5) @ Texas for Game Temple/Minnesota U (U 53) for Game Iowa State/Iowa (U 48) for Game |

Re: Syracuse and Illinois
Tulane mustered 55 rushing yards against Houston. Ricard completed less than 50% of his 26 passes for 196. I look for MSU to finally move the ball. no way this isnt a two TD game. Ive Watched the SEC all my life and MSU will finally score and get the ball rolling IMO.

Tulane @ Miss. St.
Can someone tell me how good Houston is supposed to be this year? They barely beat rice then they destroyed Tulane. I'm wondering if that's indicative of how good they are or how bad Tulane is. Of course, the most improvement for a team comes between their first and second games (so the saying goes) so maybe they started to click after the scare from Rice.
That being said, this will be Tulane's second game. I expect to see a lot of improvement from last week. Especially against someone they will see as beatable. |
