If his voting was something like

1) Mauer
2) Sizemore
3) Hafner
4) Ortiz
5) Guillen
6) Jeter

I wouldn't call him crazy or a man who needs his voting priveldges revoked.

Of course, I'm sure his voting was more like

1) Dye
2) Jenks
3) Pierzinski
4) Thomas
5) Podsednik
6) Jeter

I heard on ESPN News that one writer had Jeter 6th. I really want to know who.

[/ QUOTE ]

Joe Cowley of the Chicago Sun-Times.

[/ QUOTE ]

Francesa and Russo had him on their show. They grilled him, a bit unfairly, but the guy still came across as a clueless idiot. Oh, how I wanted to answer so many of their questions for him.

[/ QUOTE ]

He was on SNY after that, and he said that AL pitchers and catchers told him that Robinson Cano was considered more "dangerous" than Jeter (or something like that, I don't recall correctly). After they came back from break, the various NY Daily News sportswriters said that he must not have been watching too many Yankees' games. Seems he doesn't have many friends in Toronto either

Picking a DH would have been worse than picking Morneau or Jeter, IMO

In fairness, doesn't a DH have to measured at a much, much higher standard of performance?

One guy said he voted for Morneau over Jeter because the Twins were in a tighter race.

So because the Red Sox fell apart, Morneau deserved the award more than Jeter?

Alternatively, if Derek Jeter had performed worse he would've been a better candidate.

This thread makes me sad. Realizing how retarded sports writers are is diminishing Howard's MVP award, which was already undeserved to begin with.
