Default Re: The Phil Ivey Challenge??

For this bet to be interesting there has to be a time frame. Say 6 months for 10k into 1 million, now it's interesting.

What odds would someone here give me on turned $10 into $10,000 in 1 month? (one attempt only of course, lose the $10 I lose)

I am a very good friend of Ivey's. Chris would have to bet more than 10 million to even make Phil even think about it. Plus phil not giving up all of his fun time. Like the Rhino,Golf at Shadow Creek, NBA games, JET Nightclub, TAO Nighclub and fine dining. Plus the sunday's travel to LA to beat up on Larry Flint in the stud game..and i didn't even bring up time with the wife.. Chris will not gamble high enough for Phil Because he has no sack...The bet will never happen... Thread OVER>>>>>

If he loses the initial $5k once, he would lose the bet, right? If so, he really has a small chance of doing this. 5% is pretty generous. You all act like he would crush SSNL for 40PTBB/100 and have no variance, never tilt, always be focused etc.

I'm sure losing $200 to a gutshot would send Phil Ivey on full blown monkey tilt!

How much money do you think this guy really has? I don't think he can just go blowing million dollar bets and have it mean nothing. 500k would definately be enough to motivate him.

[/ QUOTE ]

When it was apparent Ivey was going to lose $200,000 on the Eric Lindgren golf bet, Ivey said he didn't care about losing the 200,000 as as long as Eric suffered. His bankroll must be pretty solid.

Exactly what I was thinking. To go deeper into that he didn't even go out there to watch. IIRC he was playing online and a railbird updated Ivey w/o Ivey even asking for and update.
