Re: Today I became a pro.
mj..
Your friend announcing that he's "going pro" grinding out the 3.40's really isn't that different from saying: "Today I became unemployed". Now, if he had titled this.."Re-Revisiting the Gigabet Challenge"..(semantics really)..I might be persuaded to rally behind you. As it is,..see you at the tables! |

Re: Today I became a pro.
Well in all fairness the guy quit a job as a taxi driver. If I had to guess, he'd have a very easy time getting the job back if he chose to.
Also, Missouri is the [censored]. |

Re: Today I became a pro.
[ QUOTE ]
My poker income was at its lowest and I enjoyed it least during the few months last summer when it was my sole source of income. Feeling the pressure of needing the money probably made me play less than optimally. Or maybe I ran bad. Either way it sucked. I would much rather have a job and play poker for fun. Maybe it will work for you. Good luck. [/ QUOTE ]I've been through that before. I always get tired of my job after a few months though. |

Would the data access charges actually be less than the profits of long-term $3.40 SNG play? [/ QUOTE ]It's free in Wichita. |

Whatever you do, don't tell people you're an "Internet Poker Professional" (as listed in your profile). I don't care if it is your main source of income, I don't consider someone who plays $3.4 sngs a professional...and I think it would be embarrassing if someone asked you the stakes you play. [/ QUOTE ]When I wrote that two years ago, I was playing $100, $200, and $400 PLO tables. |
