Capital G by NIN

I pushed the button and elected him to office and a
He pushed the button and he dropped the bomb
You pushed the button and could watch in on the television
Those [censored] didn't last too long

I'm sick of hearing about the have and have not's
Have some personal accountability
The biggest problem with the way that we are doing things is
The more we let you have the less that I'll be keeping for me

Well I use to stand for something
Now I'm on my hands and knees
Traded in my god for this one
and he signs his name with a capital G

Don't give a [censored] about the temperature in Guatemala
Don't really see what all the fuss is about
Ain't gonna worry about no future generations
And I'm sure somebody's gonna figure it out

Don't try to tell me that some power can corrupt a person
You hadn't had enough to know what its like
Your only angry cause you wish you were in my position
Now nod your head cause you know that I'm right..alright!

Well I use to stand for something
But forgot what that could be
Theres a lot of me inside you
Maybe your afraid to see

Well I use to stand for something
Not I'm on my hands and knees
Traded in my god for this one
and he signs his name with a capital G

While blessing the food on the 4th of July my girlfriends family took time to bless president bush on the great direction he is taking our country.
Then they broke off on a tangent about how separation of church and state is ruining the country. All our founding fathers intended for this to be a country under god.

But the thing on bush lasted forever. I wanted to laugh.

[/ QUOTE ]

This would put me on life tilt.

If they prayed to Jesus, at the end of the prayer you should have said "Chris Ferguson is one bad MoFo."

I dont think that will happen. She isnt going to flip on me or anything.

Her family is crazy religious though. Like at night her dad will sit and read the bible and copy stuff down from it and everything. It's pretty crazy. Like alot of people though he has recently found jesus after being a rough ass when he was younger.

It sounds more like the asked for bush to be blessed. Unless they said bush is god they prayed for him not to him. Either way it is the norm for church goers to do that. They always pray for our leaders even if they have los the [censored] minds.

[/ QUOTE ]

I dont know if I already posted this yet. Yeah they obviously prayed to him for all the good work he was doing and how he was steering the country in a great direction by bringing back morals and stuff.

Then they went onto a huge tangent about how sep. of church and state was terrible. And how they want 10 commandments back into the schools. Stuff like that. It went on for 8-10 minutes while i stood there and thought about how I have never seen anything like this.
