Robinson is a world class [censored] hole of a keeper. Sorry, that striker was nice, but there is no excuse for him not stopping that.

I've seen a the replay of the handball dozens of times already, but I think it hit brown on the shoulder/chest.

Jol surely has to be fired Monday, but IMO Robinson should go with him.

Sacking Jol would be a mistake so long as the players are all behind him. I doubt any other manager will take them into the top 4 sooner. Everyone was talking about Everton sacking Moyes a couple years back after a bad start, now he's building a pretty decent side. Boards/chairmen need some perspective sometimes. The gap between the top sides and the rest of the league is such that it'll likely take more than a couple years for anyone else to establish themselves there.

Sacking Jol would be serioulsy retarded IMO. They've been 5th for the last two seasons (nearly 4th if not for delicious italian meals) and has developed and created a huge talent pool and is a great coach. Also sacking a manager 4 games into the season is dumb as hell.

If anything Jol should walk out on Spurs. He's been jerked around, lied to and has been put into a [censored] position by the board. He could probably walk into any job in Europe without much need for an interview

Also Robinson needs either quick confidence or being benched for like a month. He's gone to [censored] v.quickly. If he plays vs Israel then we're doomed (even moreso)

well, if they sacked him, Spurs won't finish in the top 7, so yeah firing him would be a mistake. I think its going to happen though.

My dual prop bets that need Liverpool > Arsenal > Spurs look pretty good so far.

Even though i should want spurs to lose every game i was still hoping they'd win today because i hate the mancs so, so much.

Arsenal look solid but they won't finish above liverpool (i'll take more action on that if anybody wants some?)

No keeper in the world would have saved that after that shot took a deflection of Tevez's back.

looked like a minor deflection to me. Truth is, Robinson was way too far off his line.

Martin Jol has got them playing decent football and finishing high up the league but he has had a lot of money to spend from day one. The board might rightly be asking why after three years in charge and all that money to spend they have no experienced left winger and a ton of central midfielders. Looking at the squad he took over I can’t help feeling his spent a lot of money on average players and still has an unbalanced squad over staffed in some areas and short in others.

Guardian piece on Jol

Amazing read which I suggest everyone read. Found this via an Arsenal site, but I must admit, I feel sorry for Jol.
