[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] [censored] - didn't convert right. Villain calls my repop and flop was Jxx - He checkraised all in with AJ. [/ QUOTE ] thats insanely standard and ive played AJ like that 10943209492849238 times or so [/ QUOTE ] Maybe it's just me, but I'd say calling a $100 reraise by a supernit with AJ is pretty -EV. [/ QUOTE ] FD loves to put his money in with any 2 lololz |

Let's see if this one works. So I ran into a hand today that I'm hoping to get some feedback on. I have little to no read on the villain here as I'd only been at the table for less than a full orbit and I only had about 40 hands worth of data mined information on the guy. Setting aside bengiec's standard response about how badly FR sucks, what's the play? Full Tilt Poker - No Limit Hold'em Cash Game - $5/$10 Blinds - 8 Players - (LegoPoker Hand History Converter) SB: $2,293.75 BB: $1,532.75 Hero (UTG): $996.75 UTG+1: $415.00 MP1: $595.00 MP2: $1,087.00 CO: $975.50 BTN: $985.00 Preflop: Hero is dealt K[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (8 Players) Hero raises to $35.00, 6 folds, BB calls $25.00 Flop: ($75) Q[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 9[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] (2 Players) BB checks, Hero bets $60.00, BB raises to $140.00 Hero ????? Re: OT: [censored] thread, August, READ RULES IN TOP POST
Is it worthwhile to raise that AdKc on Q92d?
I think not, 'cause you're opponent has already just check raised you and is unlikely to be folding there. You are also unlikely to currently have the best hand. Chance opponent folds to 3bet: Small. Chance you have best hand: Small. Result: Don't raise. Is it worthwhile to call? When it gets to you the second time, there is $275 in the pot. It costs you $80 to call. You are getting odds of 275:80, or 3.4375:1 Your chance of making the nuts on the turn is about 19%, or about 4:1. Thus, to be profitable, you need to make another $45 when you make the flush. If, when you make the nuts, you think you can on average extract another $45 (which is not likely to be difficult when your opponent will be facing a pot size of $400 even if he checks to you on the turn and a bet of at least $45) Thus, you should call. edit: removed an obviously incorrect decimal point |
