Re: Should the Pats be running up the score on everybody in garbage ti
[ QUOTE ]
yeah, Barry's the epitome of class. Sign a big contract (w/ bonus) with what you know to be a losing club, get sick of it after two years and retire (fair enough), but then refuse to refund any of said bonus. Classy. And I like Barry a lot, and he probably is real classy, whether or not he flips the ball to the ref or not. But again, who gives a [censored]? That's not why I watched him. [/ QUOTE ] His attitude is the reason I cheered for him for 14 games every year (I am a Packers fan, so he could have run for negative yardage against the Pack for all I cared ). |

i dont understand the double standard. the colts have run up the score for years. most teams run up the score. the packers did last week.

Re: Should the Pats be running up the score on everybody in garbage ti
It's somewhat devil's advocate, but I think there's a certain degree of scumminess to it. "Sure I love big heaps of money.. man I quit". It was pretty obvious he was undeserving of the whole bonus, and the courts (or arbiters or whatever) agreed.

[/ QUOTE ] Plenty of teams have run up the score before, but nothing remotely like the Pats going for it on 4th and 1 while up 35-7 and again 42-10. That is unprecedented in the NFL. |

Re: Should the Pats be running up the score on everybody in garbage ti
I don't really buy the whole "Everyone hates New England" angle. For years the Patriots have been regarded as one of the classiest, and most likable teams in the NFL. This year they have decided [censored] it, we're gonna make a mess.
They are the NFL version of a Mickey Mouse Club, likable teenage girl becoming a big whore once she hits eighteen. |

classless, imo.
Rhino, The angle is correct, though. We're all pretty much insufferable pricks. |
