Sadly poker is losing out in my life lately. The money is good but I'm too big a puss to ever play 3/6+ so I know it's not a future for me. It's so easy to sit down and make a few hundred and not think about hands all day long and go through huge swings like I would if I moved up.

March was on par $ wise but I playe <14,000 hands for the first time in about 6 months, and 7k of those came in the last 2 days as I had to hustle hard to get my elite status to carryover. In April I've played 107 hands, up 2 buy-ins and have no desire to play.

Is this the end?? How often do people feel like this? What helps? Longest time off from online poker?

[/ QUOTE ]

I too have no desire to play

After my horrid losing streak I've been on a break for 2 months and now I'm worried because it feels so good to not play.

I don't know how I can ever go back to grinding all day when there're so much more fun things to do.

Aw well.

[/ QUOTE ]
well, count me in the opposite. i played pretty few hands in march (10k), but for some reason have alot of motivation to play these days. but yeah, poker can get really boring sometimes.

I'm in the "don't feel like playing" camp; SOFTWARE!!! + COOLERTOWN, USA

Money is the only motivation for me.. I wouldn't play poker if I was rich. I would be in Bahamas or something.

my biggest problem is that i keep looking at my balance. i know this is silly but it keeps distracting me. if im up, its all fine, but when i face the other end of the variance, i think it effects my lplay in a negative way. su8ggestions?

QFMFT

Also, if my balance would have been "good" for a month ago, it don't matter. I could win the BBJ for 50K and then lose 2K the next day (worst day was -$1050) and feel [censored].

[/ QUOTE ]I have this problem also and it definatly hurts my game when im not running well. im working on forcing my self not to care what my balance is and focus on playing better.(also im properly rolled for the game so dropping a few buyins shouldnt be as big a deal as i tend to make it)
