Does anyone think the monthly "Is this standard?" thread deserves a comeback? Was a great place to put those hands you're not sure about but don't think deserve their own thread.

I suppose one problem is that we could all post 20 hands a day in there, but still it's probably better than the Brew getting clogged up.

I'd also tentatively suggest a uNL (Poker) BBV thread. The noise in the brew with streams of similar beat and brag hands means you sometimes miss (i.e. don't read) some genuinely funny/weird hands that occasionally get posted.

So I'd say ban all HH's from brew (they go in BBV or Standard threads instead), except where the poster genuinely believes there's something very noteworthy about it. (For example, MeLeader and Ama'a HH discussion above would be fine, because it's about poker and not moaning or gloating.)

Brew then becomes for daily discussion of the grind, BR, ass blisters, PT stuff, random poker-related questions/discussion, other random crap, whatever etc. and the occasionaly worthy HH.

And if anyone thinks that's too many "Official" threads, SSNL already has 2 (Cheese Poker and Cheese Life), uNL only 1 (Brew).

(Alternatively, just ban standard beat and brag posts from brew).

i tried to get that bet pot script to work on stars but i cant seem to make it function with my setup. anyone care to help?

i use the hyper simple theme with the simplified 4 color deck. im guessing something might be wrong with my script.

You should be able to unzip the file from overcards wiki and it should work fine. I use an everlong theme with hypersimple buttons and its fine. I had to allow it to act with the window in my outpost pro though to get it to work. That might have had something to do with dragon voice though and not the script itself. Needless to say it was easier to work then the table navigator. BTW make sure you have latest AHK software. I had to update to get them both going right.

[/ QUOTE ]

i just downloaded the latest version and tested it at a play money table, it is working. seems like there was something stars changed in the last month or two that messed up the older script that i had.

Ok, done enough poker for the day.

I know AMA has start his new official thread to post hands - but this is an amusing one:

Prima Poker skin
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.05/$0.10
5 players
Converter

Stack sizes:
UTG: $10.05
mrwooster: $10.16
Button: $8.22
SB: $14.78
BB: $0.85

Pre-flop: (5 players) mrwooster is CO with A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] K[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG calls $0.1 <font color="aaaaaa">(pot was $0.15)</font>, <font color="#cc0000">mrwooster raises to $0.5</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">BB raises to $0.8</font>, UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">mrwooster raises all-in $9.66</font>, BB folds.<font color="blue"> - Notice how BB needs to call $0.05 to be AI - he is getting 40 to 1 odds to call, but I guess he decided it wasn't enough </font>
Uncalled bets: $8.86 returned to mrwooster.

Results:
Final pot: $1.75

And also many thanks to corsakh who is a legend!
