Ron Paul will raise more than Thompson in Q4.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not counting Romney's self donations, he'll probably outraise every Republican. Giuliani only had 10.5 mil in the 3rd quarter.

I've watched about 10 random 1 minute updates, and the smallest one I've seen was $3500.

The largest was almost $7000.

A MINUTE. That's crazy.

It's impressive, for sure. But does ANYONE think this pace will continue? You have to remember that today was supposed to be a big dumping day for Paul. I suspect a lot of people (who might give monthly) combine both October and November to today's big push.

It would be interesting to see depth/breadth numbers (how many people are giving, how many are close to capping out, what is the growth rate of the number of different contributors, etc.)

Almost as important as the actual money is all the free publicity brought in. Hillary picked up quite a lot of press for her 1.5 million $ birthday fund raiser and Paul has a shot at doubling that today. The kind of coverage he can get for this could be worth a million or two in itself and could bring in many new contributers to replace those who are tapped out after today.

Nah. I think the only ones who think THIS pace will continue are the ones who have no idea what is causing this mad push.

However, I think the result will be bigger contributions for the remainder of the quarter thanks to the increased exposure this fund raising effort will bring. 2 million spread out over 2 weeks is not news. $2 million in a day will make some headlines......and money follows money.

They raised about $1m from eight to noon, and the pace has stayed steady that whole time. $3m today seems almost guaranteed.

John Kerry holds the record for one day with $5.6 million! Paul won't reach that, but $3 million today is very possible and he will pass $5 million for the quarter within minutes. He will surpass his Q3 total of $5.2 million within the next hour! I think $6 million overall is a reasonable estimate. It'll die off at some point though.

Is that record for primaries or general election?
