his track record is considerably better than ponson's, so his leash should be just as long.

Free Adam Wainwright.

Why isn't Reyes starting today?

I read somewhere that Mulder may be coming back soon. Assuming this is the case who loses their spot in the rotation at this point? Sadly only Carpenter and Reyes appear to be safe (maybe Suppan).

Marquis gets his 12th win. I'd vote for him for NL Cy Young. The best pitcher is obviously the one with the most wins.

Is my match correct?

Did the Dodgers score only 5 runs in 60 innings verse the Cards this season?

OMG

8 runs in 69 innings in the 7 games they played this year...or in other words the Cardinals pitching staff had a 1.04 ERA vs. the Los Angeles Dodgers this year...

I missed a game....sweet either way

BTW-who can the Cards actually trade to get Abreau?

I know that the Cards are now rumored to be in the lead, but I still don't see it.

I don't know about the prospects/players involved, but it would seem impossible from the sheer fact that Abreu wants his $16 million option picked up or he won't waive the no-trade clause. And ownership hasn't exactly ponied up the money this last year even with the new stadium.

That would be pretty awesome though.

Actually the only thing I could possible see would be Mulder or Marquis, Rodriguez, and a prospect. Fashion a deal similar to the Scott Rolen trade a few years back...

While scouring for Abreu to the Cardinals rumors, I stumbled upon something that seemed to have pretty good legs...

Dontrelle Willis to the Cardinals for Reyes, Duncan, Rasmus, and Pomeranz. Not sure what to think of that one at all right now...
