The structure is obviously too fast in the middle-late stages. When chip leaders with 52 left are exiting in 30 mins. at 46th in a LIMIT tournament, something is wrong.

[/ QUOTE ]

Or it could mean the chip leader was a donkey.

Anyway you look at it , 140 players playing for 5 more then whole days is a LONG tournament, much much much much deeper then any other tournament in poker, and as is well known, all in life is relative and so I think this event passes with flying colors.

Well, there are a number of examples of it. Chip Reese went from double avg. to out. Daniel Negreanu went from 1.2mil to 600k in a very short period. Phil Ivey entered day three(52 left) 8th in chips and was out in 30 mins.

I think WSOP has pretty strict rules against this sort of thing.

[/ QUOTE ]

According to pokernews, Event #41 (the Seniors No Limit Hold'em Event) event was decided by a deal:

Before the heads-up battle the players chose to make a deal, and Ernest Bennett was declared the tournament winner. He's posing for photos right now with his World Series of Poker bracelet, and Tony Korfman finishes as our runner-up.

Seriously, that is bad. They should at least have to play for the bracelet. Thanks for the info though.

I don't like it either. Chopping the money, provided all players agree on a deal, is ok, but the bracelet winner should be determined on the felt.

Chip leaders in limit are going to have a smaller ratio to the average stack compared to NL, thus in that sense they're more vulnerable.
