[ QUOTE ] Florida hasn't exactly been "classy" in this game either. Georgia started it, but Florida now has a taunting penalty, a personal foul, and a facemask that went uncalled. [/ QUOTE ] Things that happen during a play is one thing. To have the ENTIRE TEAM rush the field after a TD is just ridiculous. They purposely cost themselves 15 (actually 22 after another penalty) just to celebrate... what exactly? I'd be humiliated to see my team do something like that. [/ QUOTE ] Russ, It was because a Jersey kid scored a TD, LDO. |

I have seen teams do this in the past, I have NEVER seen it ordered by a coach... [/ QUOTE ] Did Richt order it? I thought at the time that it was probably something the players got together and planned themselves. |

I don't understand what happened there. Was Georgia just trying to draw Florida offsides, but they failed to get the timeout off in time so they just attempted a 56-yarder instead?

[ QUOTE ] I can't complain about a 10-3 lead at halftime, but this reminds me way too much of the last time USC came to Autzen... Oregon looked great in the first half, then Reggie Bush went nuts in the second half and USC won in a blowout. Of course they don't have him anymore, thank god, but still the parallels make me a bit nervous. [/ QUOTE ] I think this game is the reverse of that. That game it seemed clear that even though we were winning USC outclassed us and we'd benefited from some lucky breaks. This game Oregon has looked like the better team but the 3 turnovers, including LOD, are keeping it close. USC is certainly too good to let hang around, but I think an Oregon blowout is far more likely at this point than a huge win by USC. [/ QUOTE ] I'm with you in principle, but I just can't shake that nagging feeling. We're up at halftime, but not by as much as I feel like we should be, and it feels too familiar. I would really REALLY like the cushion to be bigger, given how dominant we looked on offense and defense (as opposed to special teams...) |

[/ QUOTE ] As a USC fan I am very happy with where we are, especially after that first Oregon drive. I think tired 2nd half defenses is going to help USC more than Oregon, and we certainly have a few guys that can break big plays. |
