Something just occurred to me.

All you sanctimonious [censored] with your 'journey is the reward' and 'working and being productive' and sacredness of labor, blah blah blah blah blah?

What are YOU guys doing?

Could it be cushy office jobs where you have all the time in the world to sit around and chat on 2+2?

OH MY IT JUST MIGHT.

I work harder in one temp shift at a factory than most of you [censored] do all week. But those people are lazy, really, and that's why they don't get ahead, LOL.

Sorry, trying to turn over this new positive leaf, but I just had to get that off me chest.

[/ QUOTE ]

anacardo,

how do you think they got these jobs? Were they divinely blessed with The Gift of Employment? Frankly, much more sanctimony has been coming from your end - basically claiming that work is for suckers.

I have employees to do my work, but getting here wasn't easy.

They got those jobs for a lot of reasons, and 'hard work + good character' is a long way from the whole story.

Sanctimony? You can't be sanctimonious about being [censored] lazy. Work is for people who are better adjusted than me. One of these days I might really figure out how to be one of these 'in love with labor' types, for real no fakesies, and that's gonna be a pretty sweet day if it ever comes. But this would be a much better conversation all around if about half of you would just come down off your [censored] high horses.

By the way:

I owe a public apology to DarkForceRising, who put a lot of effort into a solid idea and with whom I was a total dick for no good reason. I'm sorry, that was very [censored] of me. <3.

So the whole case re: the both of you being everything I accuse you of being has been definitively made, by you? Sweet. You tear down the podiums and I'll start sweeping up.

How about instead of writing elliptical analogies for people to enjoy you just stop bugging me, El D, and PBob on AIM.

Cardo,

As I've mentioned before, beyond your 2 year poker gap, you're the exact profile of the kind of people who I hire to work for me. The only thing preventing you from a job like mine (or the job I had before the one I have now) is the fact that you refuse to work in this environment. Getting haughty at people in a position you've made a choice to avoid is goofy.

I have tried to stress with Cardo that his AIM habits are very frustrating. He doesn't listen.

The other day he sent some 20 messages after I'd stopped responding.

I sit in my office and tell a group of people what to do. I then take the flak and deal with all of the associated issues when they, or anyone in our company makes a mistake with a customer or a product and I end up fixing the bug/issue/mistake and customer relationship. So, yeah, I do nothing all day except look down on sloth.

Thank goodness I had to do nothing to get here. It was cool - I turned six years old and the CEO, in ninth grade at the time came to me and said -- "Hey, will you manage my support organization? Really? Cool."

Done and done, bitch! So what does 'lift my ass up' mean in the context of taking a beating? I mean, I'm young, strong and fulla hate, I don't see what being broke and whiny takes away from that. You on the other hand look like a prosperous little dumpling merchant. Let's just finish this at the docks.
