Sorry I might have attacked Ama´s post a bit too much, all that I´m saying is that while aba´s video might be great. I wouldn´t sign up with CardRunners because of his video. They have some great micro limit videos, I never said signing up with cardrunners is a bad idea.

I don't agree with ama, us micro players shouldn't play like the high stakes players. Aba's video might be nice to watch, but you can't use it in your own game (at this point)

[/ QUOTE ]

This is pretty much completely baseless. They have limits as low as 25NL there and your point about aba's vid is wrong too. He talked alot about results being tied to only your play and your decisions, and you won't be a consistent winner until you accept this.

I could go on, but your post is so bad I really don't feel like it.

[/ QUOTE ]

QFT Aba's vid defintely helps all players. He keeps on emphasizing basic things that apply at lower and at higher stakes.

I have been thinking about my pre-flop play a lot over the last 40k hands. I believe a style of at least 22/18 should be the most profitable because that's what almost every good player recommends. My own style very consistently evens out to 16/14 and while playing I have been actively thinking, which hands I could maybe not fold but I'm really stuck there.

Could someone who plays comfortably at >20 VPIP have a look over my pre-flop play? I have exported a random session from today, which I feel is very representative of my pre-flop style. This shouldn't take too long as I'm only interested in which hands I could have added to my playing range pre-flop.

108 hand session

(Raw HH as well as nicely formatted version is included.)

is it "standard" to play this tight? folding A9o in the co K3s otb, not raising A4o in bb when sb limps to you, not raising 22 in sb w/ a few limpers, not 3b TT etc... idk, I play very laggy.

Yeah seems about right. At least for a TAG, otb depends on the blinds though if they are tight I will raise practically anything

And I guess I have to watch aba's vid then, wanted to see it anyways, simply to see how our biggest player thinks.

I dont raise 22 in the SB with a bunch of limpers. I will raise a9o and k3s however. 3betting TT is player dependent for me.

Anybody likes this? The more I think about it the more I don't.

Party Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $0.25/$0.50
6 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (6 players) Hero is CO with Q[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
UTG calls, UTG+1 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $2.5</font>, 3 folds, UTG calls.

Flop: T[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 2[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 3[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($5.75, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $3</font>, Hero calls.

Turn: J[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($11.75, 2 players)
<font color="#cc0000">UTG bets $2.5</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $7</font>, UTG calls.

River: J[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] ($25.75, 2 players)
UTG checks, <font color="#cc0000">Hero bets $25</font>, <font color="#cc0000">UTG calls all-in $24.9</font>.
Uncalled bets: $0.1 returned to Hero.

Results:
Final pot: $75.55
<font color="#ffffff">Hero shows Qh Ah </font>
<font color="#ffffff">UTG shows Kh Td </font>

Maybe bluffs are just for higher stakes ...

Once he calls the turn raise, he's not folding to any river bet IMO.

I often 3bet TT, not always, though. 22 in the SB with a bunch of limpers I usually don't raise. I raise it first in from any position, though.

I'll think about the other hands.

Thanks, guys.

So after running really bad for 20k hands I finally get this:

Full Tilt Poker
No Limit Holdem Ring game
Blinds: $1.1/$1.1
5 players
Converter

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is SB with A[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] A[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img]
UTG folds, <font color="#cc0000">CO raises to $0</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises to $90</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $0</font>, 2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Button raises all-in $45</font>, <font color="#cc0000">Hero calls all-in $35</font>.
Uncalled bets: $10 returned to Button.

Flop: 8[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img] 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($37.2, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $71.1)

Turn: K[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] ($37.2, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $71.1)

River: 6[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] ($37.2, 0 player + 2 all-in - Main pot: $71.1)

Pre-flop: (5 players) Hero is Button with 5[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/club.gif[/img]
2 folds, <font color="#cc0000">Hero raises to $1</font>, SB folds, BB calls.

Flop: 5[img]/images/graemlins/spade.gif[/img] 7[img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] 6[img]/images/graemlins/diamond.gif[/img] ($2.1, 2 players)
