Somebody a couple of weeks ago mentioned using the MLE on Anderson Verejao. Is that still a possibility? I can't think of a player we need less than Verejao. We'd probably have to overpay a little, too. The market kind of quit on him, so he'll most likely end up signing with CLE.

really? I admit I don't know a lot about the guy, but he seems like the perfect type of role player the C's are looking for, no?

that starting 5 with Knight, Perk, Allen, Powe, Big Baby, Pruitt and Wallace on the bench seems very good to me.

Truth,

Along the lines of GKA's post, I took your post to mean Varejao instead of Knight. I'm not saying Varejao wouldn't be a nifty little piece to have, and I agree I'd rather have Perk getting 20-25 minutes off the bench instead of 30-35 as a starter, but a back up PG is a much bigger need to fill.

I've heard people discuss the fact that Ray Allen can handle bringing up the ball if he has to. I'd rather avoid that and get a solid backup.

Just watched press conference.

Just from personalities, KG really seems like he's going to emerge as the leader. Ray Allen really seems fine knowing he's the "third fiddle."

Some journalist needs to report on this team a la Jack MacCallum with the 05-06 Suns.

Obviously, they're going to need to sign a backup PG. Knight is serviceable, that's fine with me. AV would round out the team quite nicely IMHO. who knows if it's possible financially though? Certainly not me.
