Re: it\'s central texas; what could possibly go wrong?
[ QUOTE ]
- Let's say, hypothetically, that as soon as i landed in Vegas, i stopped by home just long enough to drop off my backpack, smoke a bowl, and then drove to Sam's Town to play 4/8. Does that make me a degenerate? [/ QUOTE ] Yes. You really need to [edit] walk to the casino [/edit]. |

gambling losses are deductible only as an itemized deduction, and only to the extent they are greater than 2% of your AGI (adjusted gross income). [/ QUOTE ] itemized gambooling losses aren't restricted 2% agi. only limited to amount of gambling wins reported under other income. they go under other misc deductions. |

Re: it\'s central texas; what could possibly go wrong?
[ QUOTE ]
I had stopped on some station playing some awesome 90s R&B (possibly C+C Music Factory). The track ended ("rock and roll to please your soul (Yeah!)") and the next track began with a very familiar-sounding synth line. I soon found i knew the words: "Never gonna give you up / never gonna let you down / never gonna run around and desert you..." And soon i realized: I had just been rickrolled by the goddamn radio. [/ QUOTE ] LOL, and yes that is C&C Music Factory. Underrated I think, but not exactly timeless; it'll always be stuck in 1991. I've definitely noticed a resurgence of Rick Astley when some of the stations around here do '80s-pop blocks, but nobody's mentioned the rickroll phenomenon on-air yet. I guess they just don't want to be outed as major dorks. Or, maybe there's no Rick Astley resurgence and I just notice it now because of all the times I've fallen for rickrolls. |

[ QUOTE ] Hey Marchron, what kind of games/limits are expected at this new Four Winds? You must be pretty excited. Bobby? [/ QUOTE ] I have no idea what they'll be spreading, but I'm stoked. There's half a dozen casinos in the Chicago/NW Indiana corridor, and they all either don't have poker or their room sucks. Except for one: Majestic Star II, formerly Trump. It would be impossible for Four Winds not to be better than its next door neighbor Blue Chip, and just the sheer size of it (it's an Indian casino, not a boat) means it will probably outdo MSII/Trump. [/ QUOTE ] First I've heard of it. This development has exciting implications. http://www.newbuffalo.com/casino/ Made my first trip down to the poker room at Ceasar's. Not too bad a drive and the room is pretty nice. Lots of tables going. They time-charge $6/half hour at the 1/2 NL tables just like at the Blue Chip, but the good news is that its $300 maxbuy (unlike BC's $100). I put my name on the list for just about everything and got seated at the 10/20 kill first. I played there most of the day. Held my own at the 10/20. As the game got tougher and I began drinking more, I looked down and found myself up exactly 1 BB. Meh. I decided to move to the 2-4-4-8 limit game with my buddies and get uproariously drunk. I must have had fifteen cocktails, and I'm a notorious lightweight. Had the spins not when I went to bed, but when I woke the next morning. OOOoooooOOOOOooo. Good times. Will play NL live next time. |

Think that song was titled "Gonna Make you sweat", but am too lazy to google it.. I was also rickroll'd this weekend by a local station.
Another great rickroll... http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=ekf1k...ed&search= skip to 00:20 if you must. |

i don't think you're an idiot, i just think the ratio of your troll posts / good(content) posts is too high, so probably that makes a lot of people just put you on ignore. [/ QUOTE ] I completely agree with this statement fwiw. |

Think that song was titled "Gonna Make you sweat", but am too lazy to google it.. [/ QUOTE ] Negatory. "Gonna Make You Sweat (Everybody Dance Now)" was the first single (and first track), "Here We Go (Let's Rock & Roll)" was the second (and second). I still have the cassette around here somewhere, lol nostalgiaments. [ QUOTE ] First I've heard of it.
