Was he ever on a winning team? The guy was only in the playoffs a handfull of times and now he's a superstar?????

[/ QUOTE ]

Obviously Kevin Garnett's not a superstar, right?

Wtf is your definition of superstar? Ray Allen is a top 20 player in the NBA and has been for virtually his entire career. He was an MVP candidate as recently as two season ago.

[/ QUOTE ]

Garnet has at least been on a team that made the finals and almost beat a good Laker team a few years ago. I'll take Garnet over Allen any day.

[/ QUOTE ]

When did Garnett make the finals? He made the WCF in 1 season. Guess what Ray Allen made the ECF back in the day.

Team success does not equal individual greatness. You should be a sportswriter.

Ray Allen led the Sonics in a sick playoff run in '05 and took the championship winning that yr Spurs to 6 games. Obviously you (hiho) don't know much about Ray. He's a sick good player and I think it's a shame Presti didn't give him 1 yr to play with Durant and see how it worked out.

[/ QUOTE ]

So one year he took a team to a sixth game against the team that won it makes him a superstar, glad thats covered.

You're still lost.

Hint: Making it to the WCF / ECF alone isn't what makes you a superstar. You were the one who were defining it as such -- or at the very least, if you haven't done it, you can never be considered as such -- so you only have yourself to blame.

Another extremely overpaid, no defense playing bad character guy for the Knicks. God...I've been an Isiah apologist for years...but I don't know about this one.

[/ QUOTE ]

I watched Z-Bo dominate Brand a couple times this past season. He can be very, very good when he wants.

two things need to STOP:

1. going on and on about Ray Allen.
2. Quoting each other making the page a mile frickin' long. Is it that hard to go back and forth and follow the debate? Jesus christ.

hiho, you're condescension-drenched posts suck.

I'm pretty sure Ray Allen got as far in the West as Kevin Garnett did as well.

[/ QUOTE ]

Not correct, the T-wolves made it to the conference finals. Allen made it to the second round with Seattle which was his only time making the playoffs with them. In fact he has only been in the playoffs once in the last six years.

Oh and I am pretty happy with Clippers pick Thornton is a no-brainer pick, but was worried they might take Young instead.
