I tried having a conversation with Neteller. I was having trouble figuring out figure out why I couln't get a straight answer, and then I noticed their street address:

I don't know if it matters, or if you care, but in this thread it was confirmed CAD checks have bounced.

Well I deposited a US currency cheque from Neteller into a Canadian (US funds) bank account....


...and it bounced.

Why? Ask Neteller. Then let me know!

US currency check is a different issue from a CAD currency check... A US currency check is going thru the US banking system...

It would be nice to know, if the CAD currency check(s) that bounced, was issued by a US Bank.

The cheque was issued from a canadian bank (by neteller) to me. You think that went thru the US? I don't think so.

The cheque was issued from a canadian bank (by neteller) to me. You think that went thru the US? I don't think so.

Based on previous discussion, it has been clear that if an instrument is denominated in US Dollars, it goes thru the US Banking system, no matter where the transaction starts and ends.
