Boxing day is in december, right? So basically you are guessing Pool will have to utilize the formidable strike pair of Crouch and Kuyt 4.5 months?

I chose that because it's about halfway through the season. I don't think it'll actually take that long for him to help the squad, I'm just saying that there will be some adjustment period where he won't be great.
Who knows how long it'll be. Either way Liverpool certainly needed help up front. |

Him and Gerrard could work well together, but after that I am not very impressed with their squad.

I also think torres will do fine as livercrap and the prem plays up to his best attributes which is his speed and on the ball skills within 25 yds of the goal. I just don't think that he'll be scoring 20 goals a season though in teh league, but that's more because of Livercrap's style of play more then his capabilities
TSC, we haven't really lost anyone this off season and it has yet to be determined if Heinze will leave or not. Park and Saha are injured, but it's not like they were sold. Fergie also told Pique that he was in his plans for the team this season. I really believe if Pique wasn't loaned out last season that some of the center defense problems that we had when both Rio and vidic went down wouldn't have happened if he was there, because Pique>>>>>>>>>>Wes Brown. Neville is also coming back from injury, so he'll be fine. Giggs and Scholes won't play 80% of the matches, and that is why cover was brought in. It's also why Eagles will probably spend mroe time on the pitch next season. I really don't see what there is to actually worry about other then maybe getting another striker if the Tevez saga falls through |

Not a transfer, but John Terry is now the highest paid player in the EPL: 131k pounds per week. Good timing, because also just broke his toe.

I wanted to pose a question, how much does say an average prem player make? I suppose this is very subjective but I wanted to compare it to MLS. Landy Cakes makes $900k a year. What would be the equilavent in the EPL. Obviously thats like 1.8mil pounds, but what EPL players make that much....

Wake up and smell the coffee. Henry is gone. Even though he was injured alot last season and didnt play much this is a change to the Arse of mega gargantuan proportions. You talk about ManU haveing to field some EPL unknowns are not the Arse in the same position. As far as I can see, all the other top 3 teams have reinforced there squads much more than the Arse who have lost an unreplaceable asset. I think Arse are in for a very rocky ride this season with no silver at the end of it. |

TSC, you've got that the wrong way around, $900k is around £450k.
last year the average EPL salary was £676k, that will increase significantly this year though because of the tv deal and massive contracts being signed, ala john terry http://news.bbc.co.uk/sport1/hi/football/4898392.stm |
