Re: Absolute Poker Scandal: An Inside Job
AP told me that a security manager will be calling me within 24 hours to "explain the cheating situation".
I told the security rep that I would hang up on the manager if he is simply calling to tell me rehearsed lies, and that he shouldn't waste his time unless he is planning upon being honest and up-front with me. Regardless, he's apparently calling me anyway. This should be interesting. |

Re: Absolute Poker Scandal: An Inside Job
This is really compelling stuff, I have class in 4 hours but I'm still up reading this thread.
Enough about Seif, yes it's shady but right now there's 0 evidence against him it just lowers the quality of this thread. What bothers me is that there's no real authority that the KGC/AP answers to (Unless its the Canadian gov, did anyone check?), so for us the situation is basically wait for this to get picked up by a major media outlet but to what end? AP going out of business, giving scumbag politicians more ammunition against online poker, and the actual perpetrators probably armed with all the information int his thread do their best to cover their tracks or more likely just get off the grid permanently. Also nice last post by Druff, I think it makes a lot of sense that this was done by former execs no longer affiliated with AP, which would also explain their chip dumping. |

Re: Absolute Poker Scandal: An Inside Job
I think you guys are getting all worked up over nothing. I've seen people play crazy like that all the time and sometimes it works. You all seem bitter because you believe that poker should be a game of skill and get really pissed whenever someone gets lucky (like all the hate for Gold and Yang) and can't accept that someone could have just been playing stupid and winning. I really think that is the most plausible theory.
