This hand was GROSSLY mis-reported.

Put it this way. CardPlayer has like four guys around every table and eight more manning the computers and I've had to fill them in on hands because they are so flagrantly incompetent half the time. The other times they mess up it's because they are flirting with each other (males with females, that is).

Let me guess: many of their "employees" will be returning to their colleges in the fall...?

If you can't outsource, intern!

You obivously don't know anything about Rizen, his play, or his past success.

[/ QUOTE ]

Sorry if my initial post came off a little harsh to all the Rizen fanboys.

I actually know a ton about Rizen and have played with him for a significant sample size in cash games. I stand by my statement that he is a good-but-not-great ABC player. Nothing wrong with that - alot of such players have had a ton of success (e.g. Dan Harrington). I just don't think that he's nearly as great of a poker player as Friedman or Cunningham - is that an alright opinion? Those two are, in my opinion, two of the best players in the world. So Rizen is probably the third best player remaining in the field.

Perhaps the term "luckboxing" was too harsh, but the fact is that he is running hot recently, which makes him appear far better than he is. I have no doubt that he is a signifcant long-term winner in both tournaments and the cash games he plays.

FWIW, I just bet $750 on Rizen over Prahlad in a last longer on Pinnacle - the odds were too good to pass up (I will win $1042.5 if correct). I think they are probably fairly equal for now - Prahlad's edge in this thing would probably on kick in shorthanded.

Yeah, so I am officially off the Prahlad bandwagon - although he is still awesome.

PS - I also bet $250 to win the whole thing.

All 2+2ers living WSOP ME vicariously through Rizen please raise your hand (hand in the air).

//Me waves his hand in the air madly

I've been thinking this for the last few days- it feels like I'm getting to play in the ME for free! He just seems like such a great guy, and his podcasts make it feel like a good friend playing, not a total stranger. Of course, the downside is that I was sooo crushed by the AA hand . . .
