For a second I thought I was dead. But, when I heard all the noise, I knew they were cops. Only cops talk that way. If they'd been wiseguys, I wouldn't have heard a thing. I would've been dead.

It's worth mentioning that I composed Tokyo!!'s death scene last night, since I was about to be the first mobster out. This one's not bad, it would have been funnier if I could have posted it when I got "hauled off to jail", but I really liked "say goodnight to the bad guy".

It's been real, ya'll. I wish I hadn't sucked so bad. As far back as I can remember I always wanted to be a gangster.

IT IS MORNING.

The residents of Poggerville awake to... absolute peace?

Perhaps the remaining mafia spent the night grieving for their lost comrades Tokyo!! and vox last night, taking a break from death and destruction. Perhaps their target was discreetly saved by a doctor. Or perhaps greater forces were at work here. Whatever the case, the night appears to have passed without incident.

However, at that moment, xorbie is rushed by several large guards and torn away from the group forcibly. Before anyone can say a word, he's gone. A lone, remaining guard hangs back to answer the questions of the village. As they clamor to know what's being done to xorbie, he states,

"This is for your own good. By decree of Commodus, in the hopes that a lone ruler will bring law and order to this town, xorbie has been made KING for a day. He will return to your village at 5 PM, to address you and choose who to lynch next at your town meeting. Until then, I'm afraid he'll be incommunicado -- busy getting fitted with robes and crowns, and getting fed grapes by 43 beautiful virgins. That sort of thing."

As the man rides off into the distance, the villagers mill about, pondering the ramifications of this new development. Who will King xorbie send to death?
