it was a nice goal, Ronaldo still dribbles to much, but atleast he is attacking. Saha looked good for the brief time he was in, as did Scholes. Rooney still does not look good. Tough game for ManU, but Reading earned that point.
In regards to the Arsenal game, Henry looked sharp again, as did Fabregas. Ljundberg was pissing me off. |

Also, I woke up at 6am today to head to a bar downtown to watch this game. They had the Chelsea game on as well. Very few people there, but all total, 3 Chelsea fans and 3 Arsenal fans. After the game, the Chelsea fan asked us:
"Did Gallas score today?" "Yeah" <smug look on his face> |

Re: **** OFFICIAL Premiership 2006-07 season Thread!*****
he loses the ball way to much. Who will replace him? Baptista? Is he fit to play full games? I liked Rosicky starting today, Adebayor looked ok, not sure who else to play up there with Henry. Adebayor is a bigger target that RVP.

Anyone watching the ManU-Reading game? [/ QUOTE ] I caught the end of it (starting just before the Ronaldo goal). Exciting ending. I kept thinking Reading's defense was going to crack, but it never did. Now Chelsea's at the top of the Premiership. (Lampard scored twice, so is possibly back on form.) |

Re: **** OFFICIAL Premiership 2006-07 season Thread!*****
Watched ManU/Reading.
Kind of a weird match. I thought Reading played reasonably well without any one standout performance. They seem to have a lot of good but flawed players that mesh well together. They defended very well, and were fun to watch. Kieran Richardson sucks. A lot. I think I understand what Sir Alex was going for with the 4-5-1 - Reading has a lot of pace on the wings so he wanted to match up. But Richardson sucking kind of ruined that plan. ManU looked a lot more dynamic once Saha came on, but going forward they really need someone to balance the formation...the current lineup runs all its attacks through Ronaldo, because trying to run an attack through Richardson/Fletcher is a recipe for disaster. They'll be better off when Giggs comes back. Fun game. |
