I would disagree slightly with this. Some guys don't want to be anywhere near menstrual blood. Women have felt they had to "warn" me the first time we started approaching period sex. My current gf stopped me to give me a "disclaimer," then fixed me with a steely gaze and asked, "how do you feel about that?" (So direct, this one.)

Miles might find she's okay with it if he lets her know he is (although if here hasn't been any non-period sex, she may want to wait so it's "nicer" for the first time).

Also, some women get stronger orgasms during their period, and/or relief from some of their "symptoms." YMMV.
