I can certainly see from your post why you don't have any friends, but no need to put the rest of the world down because of your shortcomings.

A quick scan through this thread should help [censored] find a few people worth culling. Political trolls are pretty much the worst breed ever.

A computer has never aided a student to do anything but cheat.

Bumper stickers make no sense.

You mean the requested, self-admittedly unpopular opinions people posted?

Or the [censored] responses of "OMG, that's so stupid", "I can't beleive you think that","your retarted", "your wrong and heres why"

No, I pretty much meant the blatently obvious troll posts, usually involving politics -- something I repeatedly said should stay the [censored] out of the thread. There's a reason politics and religion don't go in OOT. They just lead to contentious flamefests.

Don't worry I wasn't talking about you obviously. The statement "I must be smart because I have no friends." was written in super duper encrypted invisible pixels which you have cracked and thus seperated yourself from the herd.

Wipe your conscience.

Granted, I had high school age students in mind more than college students. What would a kid do with a computer that isn't cheating? Basically, most of the "research" for papers probably ends up as plagerized material, or enables a kid to make progress without actually thinking for himself. I will concede that I should have probably said something more along the lines of 75-85% of computer use for school work is just to be using the computer, but the computer is providing nothing beyond traditional techniques. Even in a science education you only require computer simulations in graduate school or if you take a class specifically on computation as an undergraduate.

I can understand people that are for abortion and those that are against it. I can understand people that are for capital punishment and those that are against it. I can even understand the comfort irrational religous beliefs give people. I cannot understand someone taking a sticker and applying it to the bumper of his car.

Sure. I almost didn't post it because I thought they were all pretty standard. Which ones do you find unusual or contradictory and I will elaborate.

People do it for the same reason they post to a message board. To share an opinion.

Personally, I don't have bumper stickers on my car, but I am amused by many I do see.
