I think hands down the new #1 Worst Song Ever is the current "You Had a Bad Day". What's even worse, becasue of the title, people call in to request it when - they have had a bad day. Gag.

Got damn, that is a bad song. It's really a shame that a song so poorly written gets so much airplay.

For all-time worst songs, it's somewhere along:

1) We Built This City- Jefferson Starship. WTF were these guys thinking when they were writing this song. It is beyond terrible.

2) Sugar Sugar- Archies. Only good thing about this song is it was used for humor value in a Simpsons episode.

3) Hollaback Girl by Gwen Stefani. Stefani actually has a good singing voice and is a decent songwriter, which is the real shame in this song. B-A-N-A-N-A-S-T-F-U.

4) Eve of Destruction-Barry McGuire. Worst protest song ever.

5) Creed-With Arms Wide Open. There couldn't be an all-time worst song list without Creed.

6) Straight Up-Paula Abdul. Awful.

7) America- A Horse with No Name. This song is particularly bad since it rips off Neil Young so heavily without really adding anything of musical value to the genre. OMG THE GUY IN THE SONG IS ON DRUGS. DEEP.

8) Bad Company- Feel Like Makin' Love. More bad 70s rock. Nothing really horrible about this song, but just one of many examples of crappy 70s "Classic Rock".

9) Chuck Berry- My Ding a Ling. It's sad that such a great artist needs to sing a kid's song about his dick to get to #1 on the charts.

10) Eagles-Hotel California. During the summer after my 1st year of college, I worked at Ben and Jerry's over in Old Montreal. Every night I would work an 8-hr shift of scooping icecream, usually from 5pm-1am. Every night in Old Montreal a street performer (guy and his guitar) would end his set around 11pm with the song Hotel California and people would flock into Ben and Jerry's to get some ice cream. Every single night I listened to Hotel California performed live outside my window for 4 months. This is my version of hell.

Eddie Murphy - "Party All The Time"

This song is absolutely 100% terrible.

Is it a problem that I really like this song? We used to jam it really loud at work and sing along.

Also, We Built This City is a rad song, and so is the Dipset version.

Like many people have said, "My Humps" has to be on the list.

What about that one milkshake song? I'd have to throw that on there.

Interesting that no-one has mentioned The Birdy Song - which is total drivel!

I agree with this, I absolutely despise this song. Also, I agree with the Black Eyed Peas and every song of theirs. I don't agree with people messin' with Tom Cochrane, the Clash(rock the casbah), My Sharona(Ramones are awesome). Also, achy breaky heart is awesome, I absolutely love that song and I HATE COUNTRY. When Randy Marsh broke out into that in You Got F'd in the A, I absolutely lost it.

edit: while I dislike Creed, that arms wide open song is kind of catchy and one of the songs I don't mind hearing from them.

I have to go with We Built This City just because in high school there was one of the spec ed kids who always sang it in the halls.
