and would make more than $2/hand [/ QUOTE ] NO...F'IN...WAY. like $1.25/hand is more reasonable. I ran way way too good in Oct and averaged like $1.60. |

you said that the best 5/10 players would make more than $2 a hand (if they were playing that game), which @ 400 hands/hr (4 tabling) is 800 bucks an hour. this estimate seems very ridiculous to me, and I play a lot of 5/10 6 max.

Ok yes that does seem like too much money, ridiculous, probably so. then how is whitelime's estimate in terms of validity? $1.50/hnd for merely "good" players equally unjustifiably high?
the best poker players in existence, playing higher stakes, with the potential to make more $/hr at 5/10 than the best 5/10 players currently are doing, would seem to have to have a significant edge over whatever the revised accurate win rate is, which according to you all MUST be hovering around $1/hand and not much higher $1/hand x 100 hands/hr x 4 tables, $400 an hour this seems too low 50% increase yields $600 an hour for the current best players, seems to be the consensus what edge do you think the best theoretical players that probably exist at higher stakes have over this? or is the edge negligible and they just got lucky to kill 5/10 build the roll to move up and be able to beat tougher higher stakes competition? ------------------------------------------------- fyi probably irrelevant but what causes my mindset: my biggest continuous single stakes hand sample is from 2/4 on empire (60k+), i was making almost $200 an hour 3/4 tabling, so the numbers didnt seem so odd to me guess i was running hot or something |

i reiterate
best theoretical 5/10 players that arent playing 5/10 now, but higher stakes |

Your first mistake was assuming that there are tons of merely 'good' players making $400/hr longterm at the 5/10.
