LoL. The Phillies will never win the world series in that little league stadium (as nice as it is) that they have there

[/ QUOTE ]

Explain please. I've never heard of a stadium stopping a team from winning.

Finally made the switch to full-fledged A's fan this year. It's awesome being part of the A's nation. I've always really liked their teams, but now, I'm rooting for them all the way. Danny Haren owns.

Also, LOL about yankees fans being banned.

Nice to know that your allegiance can change for whatever reason. Bandwagon fans are everyones favorite.

It's mostly because I was a HUGE Sox/Bruins fan growing up watching every minute of every game I could from the age of like 7. Then the Bruins got popular with Joe Thornton/ Sergei Samsonov, and that bothered me. Same thing happened with trendies liking the Red Sox in 2003/2004, and it bothered me. Now, the only team I truly love is the Boston Celtics, and I don't really like baseball that much, but if there is one team I want to win more than any other it's the Oakland A's.

I second this. The stadium affectes both teams equally, and I could even argue that it gives the Phillies the advantage because it is not an abnormal thing to their players who play every day there.

They moved the fences back a little bit this year too.

All I know is that the Astros get a huge advantage from their stupid stadium. Playing at Enron all year gives them plenty of time to hone their game to match the short porch in left and the deep galaxy in center.

The Mariners had a huge advantage from Safeco back in 2001 because they had a killer outfield defense and the stadium has a large outfield.

The Rockies had a huge advantage in Coors back in the Blake St. Bombers days because they loaded up on flyball hitters with power.

Smart teams build around their stadium. If you really think that a hometeam does not gain an advantage because both teams play their, then you are incredibly naive.

And if your home team has a disadvantage playing at home, go ahead and change your team now, because your team will never have a shot at winning if they have no home field advantage.
