I made over 20,000$ selling Platinum and Characters... I 4 comped.. meaning I'd play 4 characters at a time.

My favorite was Druid Shaman Warrior Rogue

For 3 characters is was Monk Shaman Wizard..

Started on Tunare, moved from it when it split to Drinal.

Apropos of nothing, I liked grouping more than raiding, and also playing two characters at once. I liked figuring out the small things alone or with a small group of friends much more than being part of a huge machine, even when I was an officer.

I think the MMORPG you are most likely to get into is highly dependent on: 1) how much you like to raid, and 2) whether you are happy exploring the game world in a leisurely, not particularly goal-oriented way, or want to burn through content as quickly as possible, and are happy skipping a lot of it, or even that there may not be much of it.

You can be both types of people at once, and people can change, but often people are much more oriented one way than the other.

Dear Grue,

I've recently stopped playing wow after being addicted to it for a year. I have a 60 mage, a 42 warrior, and a 35 priest. I have spent a total of about 25-30 days of total game time. Is there anyway I can get this lost time back? Is there anybody I can sue for monetary damages? thx!

i wish i only wasted 30 days on EQ. by the time i quit my total time added up to over 365 days. now that is depressing.

What server did you play on?

Same for anyone who played a lot of EQ (Grue, and others), what server?

Played on Tunare forever (Talisman guild, and hey, they are still alive (www.talismanguild.org).

p.s. seconded on AE groups~

i was on vazaelle. celeah leshok (62 high elf magician) also mylie bop (56 gnome cleric) and a gazillion other alts.

i was never in a high end guild and even though i played all the time i never really felt all hardcore about being uberest or anything. the group of friends i played with were all really cool though. most people would just get to a certain level and autojoin up with uberguild_02. none of us really wanted to join something already established. i'm glad my eq experience played out the way it did , i think it made things more fun and challenging.

Grue,

Do you think that shamans are fundamentally overpowered and should get nerfed like Hunters were, or do you think the classes are balanced right now?

I agree. A guild can very easily feel like a job. An unpaid one.

I was on Bristlebane. Was in a guild called Circle of Legends before I quit. Apparantly Bristlebane is the name of some city in australia, so one australian guild (Arch Overseers) had the entire server cockblocked out of VT for all of SoL.

I was on Drinal. A guild there was quite famous for cokblocking, pictures got all over the net of their whole guild literally being changed into ogres so they blocked all the passageways for another guild.

One of the more amazing things was listening to people's bizarre and often hilarious explanations for why they and their guilds were being total dicks.
