I don't know what you mean by random, we cut the deck every time, but he probably didn't, he probably pulled it out and open-fanned.

Even if the machines made the exact same shuffle every time, the dealers would have to organize the cards in the same order for the deal to be the same.

I just thing the lovely foxwoods patrons need something to blame for their losing play, especially now that they cant ask for a setup every 30 minutes....

I talked to Frenchie about that, he was surprised to hear that I found about it on the internet.

Apparently this was in the old room with old shufflers, and even then I wasn't 100% sold.

Oh yeah, I opened up a table last night and both decks were suited obviously. I asked if anyone thought that these things didn't shuffle, a few people felt that way. I put each deck in face up and fanned it out, they weren't shuffled "in the same order" and they were really, really shuffled.

Oh, remember that "Annoying B&M cliche" thread? Go ahead and add "dealer did you shuffle??" when using automatic shufflers to the list. I must have gotten asked that five times last night, and man was it hilarious!!1

Thank you for the effort to clear this up. I didn't buy it either, but with the whole table AND the new dealer "confirming" the story - it was on the back of my mind.

Thanks again

I spent Saturday there with MaxPower. I prefered the high ceilings in the old room (old ceilings always feel a little stifling to me). The lists seemed to move faster for the mid-limit games, although I'm not sure if that's because it was a slow night or more tables. There were 4 or 5 20 games going, I think, and the games were certainly faster with the shufflers, which makes it now a serious alternative to Borgata for me.

DaveR tables open up very fast now. Typically a waitlist for a 1-2NL game is a very very long time on a Friday night, both of my tables said they waited 15 minutes and they signed up at 8pm for the first table and 10pm for the second one. THAT is FAST.
