HEK

What hand were you representing? You took a very strange line.

seems like a pretty thin call bordering on -EV to me. Against your range he loses 70%+ of the time IMO. He just got lucky. HEK, if you held AQ diamonds, youd play it exactly the same way and he would end up paying off your river bluff which turned out to be a value bet. I just dont see a reason to bluff-semi bluff OOP against a guy who calls down like that more than 10% of the time.

You guys can say what you like about those calls, but they are def not good calls and consistently making those calls is just terrible.

I realize that you might say, well he had a good read. Let me ask you this question: what is the % of the time that HEK is making that play on a bluff or where he actually has a hand that beats a pair of 10s?

Calling off $8K with top pair weak kicker is also a great way to lose alot of money.

Apparently the majority of you guys either did not read or understand what Sklansky posted about a month ago. Bld is a very easy player to exploit and make him look foolish.

It's kind of funny how some people think that posting one hand can clear bld of all accusations. He called me down with a weak hand once, therefore there's no way he is a cheater QED

P.S. I'm not saying that he is or isn't, nor am I accusing anyone in the games I play of cheating. It's certainly extremely possible given the small player pool and the number of tables that the regulars play, but I am blissfully ignorant and continue to assume that the games are straight.

i am absolutely sure someone was up to something. so many massive calls w/ high card or bottom pair etc. when bobmitch was in the pot. ive played a million hands in a casino 10-20 and not seen this many huge maneuvers. if you dont beleive there is cheating in these games ur on crack. where do you think the cheaters are hanging out the 5-10 limit game at commerce?? THE GOOD NEWS IS the bad players are so bad you can still win BUT...to those of you who regularly play be warned...ur 200k bankroll is a penny in these games and ur getting ripped off.once i spoke w/ a friend of mine who is a 2 time bracelet winner in hi/lo. he said he palyed a HUGE cheated hi/lo game for 18 months and was a winner due to the fish but probably would have tripled his profit if the cheats would have been found out sooner.

becuase you can chalk up the fact that the biggest winner in these games folds top two to YOU but bluffs 2k w/ air to the biggest calling station in the game to solid "LAG" play means the cheat is working perfectly.

dont let winning make you complacent!!! i just spoke w/ a friend of mine (vikram) who is a vp at party poker about these cheats. it will be investigated BUT i am no computer genius. just street smart. if there is something i should tell him to look for or do please let me know.

Party (and others) need to do what the major B&M places do: recognize that the problem exists and take the necessary steps to protect their biggest asset, their image. Conspiracy and collusion may be difficult to prove but certainly not impossible. Nail a few hides to the wall!

If this could be done in the USA perhaps RICO could come into play. It's the same war that B&M's fight, however this conflict requires some new strategy and tactics.

edge,

I don't read people "clearing" the guy based on one hand, people seem to be saying that they have played against him at length with his play against them being consistent with the play that limon thought looked like collusion. As for your blissful ignorance, gl with that. I am confident that the games are not totally straight, but still quite beatable.

knowing how to exploit a player like bld and being able to exploit him are two very very different things

in this hand, though, i agree the call is probably overall -ev, it's just in THIS case it looks brilliant.

i honestly believe there is almost no cheating in online cash games, from the little i've played w/ bldswttrs (~2k hands), it seems like he is just very aggressive. Perhaps he had different reads on people than you (limon) did... who knows. He is not a 'perfect' player, nor is anyone else- therefore im sure that he has at times made some stupid or bad bluffs. I can't say that i know for a fact he- or anyone else, isnt cheating; but i highly suspect that at least in his case your perceptions are off and he just plays far different than you do.
