Re: I\'M NOT 10 YEARS OLD ANY MORE DAD HYACHAYCHAYCH
Jayballs,
Why don't you just stay at school except for the 3-5 days at holidays. Better yet, since you're older, rent a place near school instead of staying in a dorm, and then you don't ever have to come home. Why should they keep a room open 12 months a year just so you can use it a few weeks a year? |

[/ QUOTE ] This would def be an option during once I have got settled in at Uni, but that will not really be until second year (21 months or so from now). wrt to from the time they get married (April) to the time I go to Uni (Spet). Getting a place in Thailand and grinding/partying there has been given as a suggestion to me. Even better since plenty of 2p2ers look for roomies etc. Anyone reading this done this and got any suggestions/feedback? |

I was your age making $34k a year, paying taxes on it in NYC and paying Manhattan rents on my own, not rent-controlled.
Stop sucking at life, or better yet, get one. |

[/ QUOTE ] Great, good for you, nh etc etc. Maybe read the thread and realize I can't just rent a place during school holidays, and staying in Halls during holidays would be awful because everyone goes home. Edit: also living at home (if you have your own room obv) is fine if your parents aren't dicks. My dad gives me no hassle on friends being over, having girls over, music levels etc etc. Also, cheap rent, cooked meals and laundry done for you. Def. not a beat imo. |

[ QUOTE ] [ QUOTE ] $3k/m is a lot of money these days??? [/ QUOTE ] Here in Americungh, you can get a pretty sweet small apartment for $700/month, leaviing you with $2300. Then you pay $350 a month for cable/internet/electricty/internet....leaving you with over $1900 of money to waste. If you can't live on $1900 of expendable income for food/entertainment and such, you are a huge life degen imo. [/ QUOTE ] jay come live in the big LDN. $1900 barely covers rent. its fun [/ QUOTE ] $1900 = £950 ... £950 = Nothing in London.... However, I feel for your situation.....It must be awkward...however, you'll only be there for the summer....10 weeks tops - Have a few holidays etc...and it won't be that bad... Vava |

Re: I\'M NOT 10 YEARS OLD ANY MORE DAD HYACHAYCHAYCH
Yeah, $1900 doesn't buy you much anymore in Europe and it's like a good meal in London.
OTH, hookers are cheap in Frankfurt, only € 25 which is like, wait, $ 198 nowadays, right? |
