[ QUOTE ]
I used to be a fan of hash browns, but fried food just doesn't like me much anymore, so hook me up with some home fries. Just leave out the celery, peppers and onions please. [/ QUOTE ] lol they are both fried all to hell man I choose hash browns from burger king, they got the small ones almost like tater tots but awesomer and muchos cruchy |

Re: Home Fries or Hash Browns

I rarely eat breakfast in restaurants, and I seriously don't think I've EVER had the classic pile version of hash browns. I LOVE the solid fast food version- am I missing out? Is the restaurant version a lot better? I'm also used to eating them with ketchup. They're amazing this way, but if there's something better, I'm open to suggestions. [/ QUOTE ] meh the hash browns u get at restaraunts like denny's and such is just a pile of oil soaked slices of potatoes and are kinda nasty imo |

home fries are the cut up real potatoes you get at breakfast that are cut there in the restaurant and cooked on the grill. hash browns are the stringy things sometimes made locally but most times made in some giant plant in a city and dowsed in chemicals so as to keep their color and fresh look. i go for home fries. [/ QUOTE ] man u just took all the fun outa eating processed foods |

Re: Home Fries or Hash Browns
i remember in grade school that the best days were when the cafeteria had chicken nuggets and tater tots. man, those were the days.
The hash browns from burger king remind me of that, so I like theirs. Home fries when improperly cooked are hard on the outside and dry on the inside. This happens a lot. Hash browns usually have other things I like -- onions, peppers -- so I go with that. Based on my experience, I vote hash browns. |

Re: Home Fries or Hash Browns
Hate to burst bubbles, but home fries are deep fried way more often then they are grilled. If they are ever grilled.
edit: I mean in restaurants of course. |

[/ QUOTE ] really? most places i've been just have a huge mountain of them on the flat grill top. this is the primary problem though, because you can either get delicious crispy well done ones or barely cooked ones depending on where in the pile yours come from. |
