Upper limit? Maybe more frequent testing. But there should DEFINATELY be raise in the lower limit. I can't tell you how many times I see teenie bopper rtards in their riced out Hondas (no offense to real Honda performance enthusiasts) cutting people off and generally being completely morons on the road in their ground pounding 100whp econoboxes.

No limit, but I'm all for regular (annual?) testing after age 60.

annual testing is wayyy too much. Maybe re-test at 65, 70. Then every 3 years after need to re-take.

While driving through an intersection I got hit by a car driven by a 70 yr old and an 80 yr old passenger when they ran a red light. They both got severely injured and they insisted they had the green and are both suing me for personal injury. In conclusion, damn straight there should be a limit.

keyser,

no problem

jj,

65 is prolly a bit low...but 75 is right around the average age of death last time I checked. Seems like a good age to start doing yearly tests.
I don't know about the cost issue, (who pays, etc.) so I'll just keep my mouth shut about that.

Over 75 and still capable.

I don't think there should be an upper age limit, but I think annual vision and driving tests should be required above 75 or 80. I had a great grandmother who drove for years while almost blind (she probably would have qualified as legally blind). She lived in a small town without much traffic, and everybody knew to keep out of her way, and that, combined with quite a bit of luck, kept her from having an accident, but she had no business driving.

Also, I'm with ed, I thought 14 was pretty standard for permit already, and that 15 were the odd states.

I don't think it's unreasonable to require recertification on a periodic basis... for all drivers.

Impractical. Most DMVs are understaffed.
Retest those with moving violations.

Only problem is many of the most dangerous drivers are
actually good drivers. Good in the sense that they
can pass tough driver's test. There is no acceptable
way to get inconsiderate drivers off the road.
