Artdogg,

kidcolin has acute Suns Envy, that's why you'll note that he bashes them at every turn. Aside from that glaring weakness he seems pretty level-headed about this stuff.

That article you linked was pretty standard pre-season fluff. "We're taking this season differently" in some way that's supposed to be construed as positive. Not very interesting IMO, it reminds me of when Crash Davis was giving Nuke LaLoosh the canned answers for the press when he makes The Show.

You're right...lots of coaches talk about not enjoying winning. My bad.

Irish,

Don't get defensive. Every year it's a new version of an old theme, which is: we didn't win last year so we're doing x to win this year, which is usually some philosophy that seems like meaningless fluff. Xs and Os and talent and health wins championships, not preseason mantras long forgotten come June.

Tuq is right.

That is why the Spurs won it last year, and why they'll win it this year.

Ah, another quality Colorado homer-post by Karenin. What an awesome 2+2 debut he is having. If you want to be wowed by his awesomeness check out his modest but budding body of work thus far.

3rd. Mavs - The big 3 are the big 3, but I can't see Dallas beating either the Spurs or the Suns in a 7-game set. Call it heart, call it toughness, call it chemistry, call it what you want. They just don't have it.

[/ QUOTE ]

Nevermind that they beat both SA and Pho (stay out of this tuq) in 06 to go to the finals. The SA series was a game 7 road win and many feel the only reason it went to 7 games was b/c of the JET suspension.

You are making a snap judgment based on what the Warriors did to them--that is the only explanation. B/c other than that this nucleus went to the finals beating both teams you mentioned in a 7 game set.
