Robert,

Interesting that House of Buggin' was actually good. I was mostly just amused by Summerall having to say that in the course of the telecast. Honestly, I think the choice of series name didn't help draw viewers. Buggin'? At your recommendation I'll find the Youtube bit, or you could link to it in this thread.

His Robin Williams is really tight. I still don't know who the guy in all black with the pearl necklace is supposed to be.

Al Pacino.
He is a famous actor who has been in many movies.

Can't blame him. His Pacino is pretty terrible.

Is it that hard to type 'house of buggin cantina' into the search at youtube?

lots of sketches on the show weren't that fantastic. But occasionally they had a gem.

singing cantina sketch

This is a bit of a one-off that I'm sure you whippersnappers won't remember, but the relentless pimping of this bizarre Frank TV show reminds me of a decade+ ago when CBS spent half the NFL season pimping some goofy show starring John Leguizamo (sp) called "House of Buggin'". Man did they pimp the crap out of that show but I'm not sure it even made it a full season. Anyway, it cracked me up to hear the octogenarian Pat Summerall say "House of Buggin'" ten times in the course of a Niners-Cowboys game.

lol I remember this. too funny. My guess is that after the first time reading that promo, Summerall turned to Madden and said 'What the hell is 'buggin'?

i won't go out of my way to watch it but I do enjoy his short skits during the pregame football show on sundays. His Terry Bradshaw impression is pretty good.

I thought that was supposed to be Dr. Phil...
