Leave work Friday at 5:00

Yeah, this is a weird thing to put with no further explanation.

You actually need me to explain it?

Whoa mang, what sort of slave driver are you working for?

One that pays me alot of money and I don't have to shower after work. Actually my boss is 800 miles away and I have seen him exactly twice in 6 months...and once was my interview.

Reading a great book on a cold day?

Or grabbing some cheese, wine, a J and watching some planet earth in HD. Woots.

I think as long as I can always do both those things I'll be happy with life.

[/ QUOTE ]

Great choices.

I will go with:

Smoking a bowl while still in bed.
Taking a break from the girl and watching football with my friends.
Skiing
White water kyacking

I think these are my top 4 that does not involve sex.

I can see them but they are too far away so I don't get my lemons even though I remembered that I had to get them, which is a great tragedy but then it comes my turn and the lady zaps all my food and I put them in the bags which I use to put my garbage in at home so I am recyucling and then I pay and I get to pick up my bags and walk out and this makes me very happy thankyou for this opportunity to be able to talk like this I feel better now goodbye.

"I'm in construction and normally we go till sunset, so leaving at 5 is awesome."

"I work at an old folks home and normally cleaning after dinner service takes until 6:00 so leaving at 5:00 is awesome."

"I work at an office, in a cubicle, and so leaving at 4:30 on Fridays is pretty standard."

One of these does not belong, and one of them is going to be much more common than the other two. What a happy confluence!

Ah, maybe this is where the "explanation" part comes in. Just as being ecstatic about leaving at 5 on a Friday isn't normal for posters here, neither is having a job like you describe.

So. Please, explain.

RDH,

That's it baby, make him squirm! We're not letting him out of this until we get a perfectly acceptable explanation of this Friday at 5:00 thing.

Here's a guess. It's kinda simple and obvious though:

Because then it's the weekend?

When most people here either don't work at all on Friday, or leave before 5, that's more of a beat than a brag. When I had a regular job, not getting done until 5 on Friday actually really sucked, mostly because getting done at 3:30 or 4 was so great.
