I don't really care about value against villain after he checks twice, but the fish still being in makes this a definite turn bet.

and I do think that the BB is much more likely to call a turn bet with 99-JJ than a flop bet the way the hand was played.

3b preflop is 100% standard. as played I would just half pot the flop and fold if BB plays back
those of you who dont 3b here to iso the fish are just giving away money. also i think a flop check is better than a flop bet |

Turbomucks. And WTF with the preflop 3-bet? [/ QUOTE ] 2nd thread I've seen tonight with you quesioning a preflop 3bet from the button with solid hands. Not trying to be a jerk, just saying you may want to open up your 3 betting range from the button. People seem to be falling in love with reraising from the blinds, but call a ton on the button. It should probably be a lot more the other way I think. I understand RR from the blinds cause you really don't want to play the hand out of position and you want to take it down there vs mabye a loose button raise. But I think you might be underestimating the value of reraising in position where you can get better value or just play better because your in positoin. whatever im drunk and just trying to help gl. |

[/ QUOTE ] i guess this is where the disagreement lies...once BB calls preflop...i'm ignoring the fish (who has shown no interest towards putting $1 in the pot after the flop)...there will be plenty of time to get his money...if range of hands BB can have preflop is AK,JJ+...you cant change it just because he checks twice...obv BB is capable of checking flop and turn because he check raised on turn...you didnt know that at the time...but i cannot be convinced not to bet the flop here out of fear of BB trapping...and then just ignore him and go after fishes money once he checks again im going to bed tho guys...later |
