[ QUOTE ]
how can any one person be this dubm? [/ QUOTE ] it's the law of averages jfish. most people are only kind of dumb or kind of smart. some people are really dumb or really smart. then there are those statistical outliers that defy logic/explanation. |

Re: It\'s been about a year- post UIGEA success?
The last 12 months have been by far the best calendar year I've ever had, but honestly I didn't start getting serious about the game until about June 2006.
Before that I messed around and made money on Party small stakes, but I wasn't at all good at the game. Without the UIGEA there's a good chance I would have made more money in the last 12 months, but no chance I'd be anywhere near as good as I am now after a year in the trenches. |

Re: It\'s been about a year- post UIGEA success?
People should more apt to measure poker success by way of someone's poker theory, how they win/lose pots/make reads/tilt frequencies (table temperament), ability to improve their game, then staring glazily at someone's graphs.
I can say with full confidence that even over a large sample the best player at a particular game isn't the one with the most money won. |

Re: It\'s been about a year- post UIGEA success?
For those that say that how well you run has no factor in your success would you really make money at poker if you didn't hold the best hand over your opponent?
Would you make money if you were set over setted for a stack five times a session? |
