We don't need anymore population in this world.

[/ QUOTE ]

There are some overpopulated places in the world, but saying that for the world in general (and the industrialized world in particular) is that way is way off.

The idea that the world is overpopulated is completely wrong and dumb and invented by environmentalists. Find a better argument pls.

[/ QUOTE ]

So we wouldn't be better off with less people on this planet?

Well, the "people suck" argument is quite different from the "world is running out of room" argument, but from an economic standpoint, nope, more people are better.

Agreed, especially America, you have a ridiculous amount of space which isn't populated (onbiously not saying this is a bad thing. Certain places it is true though - England is absolutley ridiculous, the South East is ridiculously overpopulated.

For those that don't want kids, its a good thing that your parents wanted them.

I would like to have kids b/c I would be an incredible dad (srsly), but it's still easy for me to understand why many don't want children.

Anyways, here is a question: say there was government program that offered incentives to stable, educated, intelligent couples to procreate. Assume that you would qualify. How much would the incentive need to be to have a child when you wouldn't have previously?

I get this all the time. Goes hand in hand with the puzzled face question, "Why aren't you married??" Then I feel the obligatory, "I was engaged for quite a while, owned a house together, didn't make it.... yada yada yada" explanation. Drives me nuts. I knew I could take or leave kids a long time ago... My dog keeps me homebound more than I like it, let alone some screaming baby/whining child/crazy teen.
