people who say 1v1 are dumb. dota is meant to be a team game.

if anyone plays 1 v 1 u just need to wait it out and pick the counter hero to whatever the other person picks. its like playing counter strike 1 v 1 on aim map, just worse.


i used to play both dota and counter strike competitively, then realized there is more money in poker and quit both.

that being said, i will gladly play anyone on these boards for $500 in any 5 v 5 dota game.

Lol I know this, but I was looking for easy money vs the guy who made that post.

This is also why I hate crappy assassin players who think they are the Daddy because they have more kills than you while contributing very little to the actualy team.

DotA is very much competitive and has been played in pro gaming tournaments. You probably know nothing about higher level DotA and only what you've seen from pub customs. Those are to DotA what micro stakes are to poker. I played "regular" Warcraft for years, I just got bored of it after awhile. Anyway, this is a pretty silly post.

I love 1v1. Making it fair is pretty simple, just do mirror match. I usually would just random and let the other guy pick whatever he wanted. You'll still have the edge most of the time if the other guy sucks.

This is a good idea. Can't beleive I didn't think of it before. Me and my buddy used to 1v1 for a drink each game, and I got owned every time because my buddy always picked a good counter to my hero (I was dumb obv at this point and was only really comfortable with a few heros).

Out of interest, who is a good counter to Morph? I owned like 100% of the time in the pubs, but obv they suck.

A really good way to play DoTA is on http://www.gg-game.com/, Runs it in the backround. Makes it feel like your playing a LAN game.

And the plus side is, They can tell if your using map hacks and insta ban if you do.
