I didn't decide to get blinded down, I would have been happy to play a decent hand if they dealt me one but I did not get anything playable from 80 players remaning to 45. By the time I finally got 88 and AJ my EV in waiting out the bubble was higher than taking my chances with a miniscule stack. It's not hard to understand chump.

At 80 left I had a decent but below average stack. I did not see many opportunities to pick on anyone as most pots were raised preflop and I did not have big enough stack to justify steal attempts with bad hands. That's not to say I didn't play any hands in this time, because I did. But as I said in the OP, I did not start stalling until there were 60 left and my stack was even shorter.
