Re: I like Americans
[ QUOTE ]
Quote: -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- This is correct. We aren't European, we're British. -------------------------------------------------------------------------------- I'm not British, I'm English [/ QUOTE ] Yeah im English too. I havent heard the Scots or Welsh claiming to be British when I`ve been amongst them either. its always been a freindly rivalry between us. Like with the french but the Scots and the Welsh will poke fun back. I deffinately dont feel I`m the same nationality as the Scottish and the Welsh. I know we let the Welsh play Cricket with us but we`ve always been at war with the Jocks. Also, the few people i`ve met from Northern Ireland have considered themselves to be British. |

Re: I like Americans
Are you sure you're English? You don't talk the way diebitter talks. You sound like an American to me.

Re: I like Americans
Diebitter is old school and puts on a monocle and bulldog before going out in public. Raju is probably younger.

Re: I like Americans
I absolutely love the italians [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img]
When we first came to Canada we moved into 'little italy' in Toronto. We couldn't speak any english at the time but I just remember growing up thinking how cordial the Italians were. It was just such a nice place to grow up. There were not too many asians like myself there but I just remember growing up hanging out at the cafes and how happy I was. My dad would always be joking around and laughing with the neighbours. Also right up there on my list are the Brits [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] I don't think I've ever met a Brit that I didn't like. I just love their humour. My best friend at the time introduced me to some of his british friends and cousins and they were all awesome. I also met quite a few Brits back when i was younger during my rave years but that's another story [img]/images/graemlins/heart.gif[/img] Fun times. |

Re: I like Americans
Almost all Germans I have met over the years have been friendly enough. However, I find them to be obnoxious and annoying drunks. Too loud and silly for my taste. Their accents are like fingernails on a chalkboard.
I have spent the most time with Russians and Ukrainians. Initially they fascinated me. I guess now that I am accustomed to them they just mostly seem like regular boring Americans. |

Re: I like Americans
Funny, when I read 'annoying drunks' the first thing I thought was 'Russians'.
