[ QUOTE ]
[ QUOTE ] Fahrenheit 451 by Ray Bradbury. Edge-of-your-seat suspense story, with huge topical relevance to today's world. Everyone should read it. [/ QUOTE ] I had to read the book in high school. I enjoyed it. Have you seen the movie? There is a 1966 movie directed by Francois Truffaut, I thought it was very good. [/ QUOTE ] I'm joining the thread really late, but whatever. I just watched this movie and it really made me want to reread the book. I thought the book was a lot more suspenseful and intriguing than the movie, but the movie was good. As for my favorite book, outside of The Paradise Snare (star wars nerd), my favorite book is a tossup at the moment between Straight Man (Richard Russo) and Ender's Shadow (Card). Straight Man is a really really funny book if you can relate to the main character, and I would imagine many Loungers could. |
