Re: Had a blood-boiling experience at Best Buy this morning...
[ QUOTE ]
I quit. BUT, I do find it hilarious that every one of you are sure you would say something about it. Pretty easy to say from behind your computer. [/ QUOTE ] You're right, it's much easier to say without fear of a vicious scoffing reprisal. |

Re: Had a blood-boiling experience at Best Buy this morning...
It's my experience that in this spot the vast majority of the time the cashier will call somebody on this and not serve them. Maybe I run hot at cashiers (although I have a hard time seeing the typically 19 year old girls at the Best Buys with which I am familiar doing this).
Sometimes I've called people on this, most times I just think life's too short to get too worked up about this and if somebody wants to flagrantly self indentify as an [censored] in public, that's their choice. |

People still buy CD's? [/ QUOTE ] I think this is the better question. Every time I read a post like this on here, I'm just amazed at how often people just let others walk all over them every day. Yelling loudly "Hey, that guy just cut in line" and then proceeding to raise a fuss with a manager would be pretty standard here. |

Re: Had a blood-boiling experience at Best Buy this morning...
That was exactly my thinking - I was [censored] about it but what's the point in calling this guy out when I didn't have anywhere to be and it doesn't mean [censored] in the long run?

Someone bring up that old video where they're in a pizza parlour, the guy argues with the girlfriend, and then the big black boyfriend comes in and kicks his ass while everyone watches

Re: Had a blood-boiling experience at Best Buy this morning...
All,
WTF w/ people thinking this guy is black? How can he not be Mexican? OP, this is like the most standard situation ever and happens all the time. You say "Excuse me, there's a line here" or something like that, dude goes to back of line, carry on. |

Re: Had a blood-boiling experience at Best Buy this morning...
Odds are 1 in 570 that he would even have considered getting back in line at this point unless I run and tell the manager.
And I don't know how the black thing got started. |

I like to let people walk all over me too. [/ QUOTE ] It's not really about that, though. Well, maybe it is for you or OP. Some of us don't feel the need to correct every random person we come across who slights us in some small way. It has nothing to do with being scared or letting people walk all over you. This wouldn't bother me enough to worry about it even five minutes after it happened. OP, you took the worst line possible. A Best Buy stare down? WTF. |

[ QUOTE ] A Best Buy stare down? WTF. [/ QUOTE ] That was kinda the whole joke about it. It was like 7th grade-style and is the only funny part about it. |
