I actually agree with him. As long as he's not doing any "down in front" crap, however he chooses to enjoy the game is up to him. Sounds perfectly fair to me.

that's fine, but just know he's nitting up the crowd and i have no idea why he's there.

although, i rarely go to sporting events alone - the only time i have it's been at neutral sites - i expect if i did, i wouldn't be very into it.

I don't think anyone reasonable is going to tell that you are being too quiet at a ball game (unless it's the world series, bottom of 9th, something like that). But it's the telling other people to calm down, quiet down, sit down, that is crappy.

It's not that I even always nit up the crowd. 2 of the 3 baseball games I've gone to this year I've gotten belligerently drunk and made plently of noise. It's just that I disagree with the notion that fans are proving their devotion by the amount of noise they make. I'm just as much of a fan when I'm drunk and yelling as I am when I don't drink and kind of just sit there relatively quietly.

My original post kind of overstated my nittiness. It's not like I'm some sort of mute.

the most impressive fans I have ever heard in terms of coordinated crowd noise was river plate fans in buenos aires, and unfortunately Florida Gator fans at the Final 4 this year. All of their songs/chants were perfectly on point, so loud, and pretty fun to witness. The other three schools were nonexistant in comparison.

I hope our Super Bowl XLI Champions banner doesn't obscure my view of the game.
