Re: 2007 USPC NOT on ESPN
It will still be a good tournament, but I think I'll play Aruba instead.

Re: 2007 USPC NOT on ESPN
As I said before ,its a disappointment that ESPN has dropped the USPC from it schedule,as the TV coverage from Day 1 through Day 5's final table is pretty awesome.
But besides that the ,USPC structure is pound for pound the BEST around,as there is not even a remote chance of a WPT type ,and most of this years WSOP events type shovefests occurring as early as they usually do! It does seem the recent WPT changes made, has slowed down the action late so there is still some decent poker able to be played from what I heard. Is that true? ~stephen |

Re: 2007 USPC NOT on ESPN
I don't know all about the UB package. It's a 5K buyin and rooms at the Radisson (where they hold the event) were $195/night for the tournament when I booked.
I remember Aruba being humid and mellow, much different from Atlantis. They have waterskiing on the beach, so I liked it, but I was stuck at a crappier hotel down the road from the Radisson, so I think this year will be better. I think the food was standard mediocre island food, but we had at least one decent meal at a Brazilian place. I didn't play them, but supposedly the highstakes NL games were filled with whales. |

Re: 2007 USPC NOT on ESPN
UB and AbsolutePoker both run sats to Aruba now that UB and AP are owned by the same company (Blast Off) in Malta.

Re: 2007 USPC NOT on ESPN
This is a real shame, the USPC was one of the best televised tournaments left, with lots of play, good structure, multi-day coverage, you actually got to see some poker.

Re: 2007 USPC NOT on ESPN
The FullTiltPoker.net televised event in Germany (DSF) is scheduled for October 8-9, in between UB/AbsolutePoker's Aruba event on October 1-6 and WPT Barcelona on October 11-16 (FullTilt Germany overlaps with the PokerStars EPT event in Baden, Austria event).
